Another lovely dive at Spring Lake this weekend. Our site assignments were Deep Hole, Arch Site, and Kettleman's. We usually see turtles, but this time, it was a total turtle-fest, just turtles everywhere. I'm always amazed at how fast they can move underwater. We saw a live, large crawfish backing into his burrow, but we mostly saw a lot of crawfish carcasses. The fish are eating well, I guess? Fountain darters galore, and we even saw one of the endangered salamanders. This was the first dive in awhile in which the weather was overall sunny, and so we had really beautiful views of the sunlight filtering through the water---very reminiscent of some of the cenote shots you see from the Yucatán. Bliss.
