My first Shearwater product was the Perdix AI and not once did I have a connection issue and still have as my backup. I use the same transmitter with my new Teric. I did not have them on the dive together though.

On the first two dives with my new Teric I was having intermittent connectivity between my transmitter and computer. I switched the battery and held on to the old battery to test once I got home. (It tested 3v) The new battery was having the same issues. Is this a common problem?

I was having a similar issue with my Perdix AI that got progressively worse. A quick call to Shearwater and they suggested pulling the battery out of the transmitter and leaving it out for five minutes. The person I spoke to stated it "reset" the transmitter. I have had ZERO issues since doing this.

Thanks, I’ll try that.

I have only owned one "wireless" AI Dive Computer and I had so many connection issues that I sold it after one trip. Since then, I have always used hosed AI Dive Computers such as the Oceanic Pro Plus series. (I currently have an Oceanic ProPlus3 as my primary and a GEO2 as a backup.) For everyone who says that there is no reason for hosed AI DCs, I simply mention that they are free to use whatever they want, but mine will never lose connectivity.

Edited to add: I just noticed that this thread is in the Shearwater group. I want to stress that the computer that I had the problems with was not a Shearwater it was from another brand.
