I enjoyed it over New Years, but then I had a great guide. We saw a lemon shark, lots of little octopus, and some fish. It wasn’t like the reefs are mature but there were things to look and and the water was clear. We only did shore dives and the one at the old banana boat dock was a lot of fun. Living in Florida I have seen better and worse so it is about good timing and luck. The other thing is that Tenerife is a lot safer then some places in the Caribbean and had lots of food options that were very reasonable

had there great dives, but the surface things getting worse (too much cheap tourism, too much cityfication).

Hi

I just published a short review from a week of diving with Tenerife Diving Academy in Abades.

Trip Report - Shore Diving on Tenerife

Short summary is that I really enjoyed it as an accessible diving destination from Europe. The price level is very affordable, especially if you are interested in further your training within PADI or SSI.
