Hi Everyone

I need to purchase a new tank in the next few weeks. Can anyone give me some suggestions of what I should look for?
I had the same tank for many years and sold it before I moved. So I don't know what's out there anymore. Thanks

I bought a Luxfer 80 cfm at Divers Paradise in Webster last Sept.I gave $ 159.00 (probably to much) for it then. They do hydro`s for 60 bucks when it comes time and I think the anuals were 20-25.You saw it .high vis .yeller.
Hey great seeing ya out there both days..Can`t wait to get wet with ya.

Please give us some information:
What kind of diving do you do/intend to do?
What kind of exposure suit if any do you wear?
What kind of air consumption are you currently experiencing?
What is your budget for a tank(s)?
What tank does your buddy use?

Ok, I'll try to answer....

I do recreational diving which includes Lakes and Ocean.
I am currently also needing to buy a new suit. Will probably
be a 5mm ( I am a whimp to cold air so not sure what I need to get)
I haven't dove in a year so not sure on the consumption.
I know I am not an air hog but don't know exactly.
My budget is to buy a good tank at a good price. I am not
looking for cheap.
I don't currently have one buddy.

I am looking for a tank that will last me a while. I would like to
take the Nitrox class and learn more about that. I really can't tell you any more than that.

Lovestodive2 - just get an Aluminum 80 for now but don't buy it from the same place as T.P.H.

T.P.H. - you not only paid a premium price but you are about to be taken advantage of again... yearly VIP should be more like $10 and include an new o-ring and air fill. Hydro at a scuba shop should be more like $25... take it to a fire extinguisher service shop and you'll probably pay $15 for the hydro.

That`s my lifes story. Thanks Uncle Pug.

I'm sorry to hear that...
My advise would be to shop around...
But then I don't know if you have multiple LDS there...
If there is only one shop in town they can have their way with you...
