Went to a mechanic to look for stainless steel retaining rings for my regulator. When I told him what it was for said he had 4 tanks for sale that have been sitting for long time in his garage.
All are currently pressured. Need hydros on all.

Yikes! Used tanks are expensive on the west coast!

Make an offer and I will send it too him. Im not up on the prices for older used tanks.
This is what i saw tanks going for on local craigs list.

Probably been sitting around cause he wants way too much for them:

Steel 72s. $50 each out of hydro best $75-$100 if in hydro and with a good paint job.
Alum 100 $75 out of hydro - people hate these cause they are so heavy what the first hydro date????
Alum 80 $75 out of hydro - note 3/88 is just after Luxfer switch to AL6061 but with an 1988 date some shops will refuse to fill them (< 1990)

Agreed. I'd pay $100 for the 72s (together). The rest is junk.

Thanks for the info i will let him know next week.
Are 72's used for sidemount???
