Hi Guys

New to the forum. I search the web and found an old thread regarding bass boats but not what I was after and its about 2-3years old. Thought it would be easier to pose my question fresh.

I have a 21ft bass boat i would like to dive from. I normally have another person with me so I'd be looking to mount/secure min 4 tanks. I'd like something that is not permanent and is removable. (I do use the boat for tournament fishing)

I have searched the web and not found a perfect solution. The best i have found are foam holders and the better of the two are only available in Australia

Foam Twin Tank Holder Diving NEW | eBay

or worse option

JCS?'S NEW Scuba Dive High Density Foam Double Tank Holder 2 PCS Free Shipping | eBay

and i don't want these

Storm Foam 3 Scuba Dive Tank Holder | eBay

I am looking for input on tank mounting/securing and if someone has does so on a bass boat where they found was the best spot and how.

Thank you,
Kris

Steve Thank You. Thats been by far the best thing I have seen.

How easy is it to get in and out of your boat fully geared up?

If you have a tournament bass boat and like to drive it at trournament speeds, then they had better be very well secured tanks.

Had a bassing buddy. Liked to take his boat in salt water. I bounced more than one piece of gear over the side. Led me to get my own boat with higher sides.

I made one that looks like those out of wood, for the back of the truck. Works great.

The delrin one does look nice comparatively speaking

but for $10 and 30 min of work, ya can't beat it.

Getting in water from the boat would be very easy, its completely flat with a 1 or 2 inch lip around, you can step or backroll from anywhere. Getting out of the water is a little more tricky. However, I always throw my gear in and strap in water. Same for the exit, I strap out in water and pass my gear in.

I am thinking to go with two of these (see picture) as there is individual tie downs for the tanks. I figure two 3 tank racks will be more stable and leave option for additional tanks in future, just need a way to secure to the boat.

The boats top speeds that I have hit is 78mph in perfect water. I normally "cruze" to the fishing hole around 60-65mph in average water. I'd probably take it very easy 35-40mph with the tanks in the boat. There is also plenty of lockable closed storage on the boat for all other gear. (as long as the tanks are not mounted on top I guess lol)

No plans of going into salts with it. Biggest waters will be the Great Lakes and hopefully on calm days.

Have you checked ou Stackable Scuba Tank Holders, their not permanent and do really well, on amazon and at Homes. they work really well.

The prices are crazy for these things when you can just buy to PVC pipe and build one.
