Taking the boat to the Keys...

Hello all! It's been awhile since I've been able to post, (computer problems :11: ) but I am taking the family down to Marathon at the end of July and on into early August. We are renting a house there and plan on bringing the boat for some diving and fishing. I have dove Sombrero reef before, but this is the first time I am bringing my own boat. Is there a resource - either online or in book form - that gives good dive spots? Or can someone give me some ideas of where to go? GPS numbers? General areas?

the underwater florida book is a good resource. plus you might be able to call some local dive shops and they might tell you some good spots that don't plan on hitting that day.

End of July is mini season, meaning many crowds , heavy traffic. I suggest taking card sound road if us 1 is backed up.

Actually I will be there right after mini season and before the regular season. (That's probably why the house was available at that time!)
