This is a Tursiops truncatus (bottle nose dolphin) on his way to the bottom to make more passes in our group which was highly energetic, very curious and playful. They especially like it when you dive down as deep as you can while they swim circles around you. They were playing tag with some orange seaweed, this shot was taken about 10-15 feet deep and I was ‘it’. They play games like this often to refine their hunting skills. Once the pod was playing catch with a cowfish. The cowfish didn’t like it but the dolphins really enjoyed themselves.

What a great photo! Like Dee said it's the simplicity, together with the color gradient which makes it outstanding IMO...
