I have an Ikelite housing for my T2i and the Ikelite manual recommends using Quick Mode.

If using auto-focus in “Live-View”, use “Quick-Mode”.
NOTE: Auto-focus will not be as good in “Live-View” mode.

Based on my limited testing I have not found any issues with Live View mode. I was wondering if anyone has any comments; good, bad or otherwise.

I have found using my T2i that live view mode autofocus is much much slower than using the viewfinder to autofocus. You might as well go back to a point/shoot (or worse).

I agree with Onewolf. Learn to use your viewfinder and manual camera function. Admittedly there is a learning curve but in the end your images will be much better. Your battery will also last longer as it is not poering the view screen.
