System recommendation

I am planning to buy a Go Pro Hero 3 with light and filter.
After reading many threads I could not come up to a conclusion ...
[Note I am not looking to spend a large amount of money, nor do I want any DIY solution, but want to buy the right component! "you have to be rich to buy cheap"]

LIGHT:

I am thinking of the Sola 500 (one unit to start). Is it OK or should one go for the Sola 800 or an other brand?

FILTER:

To simplify the ordering process, am thinking about the Backscatter filter

OTHERS.

Any other accessory I need to consider:
- Shock protection
- Lanyard
- ??
