The SWODA season opener in Sarnia was well attended. Thanks to everyone who brought items for the BBQ. We were pleased with the visibility below and the nice weather above. The water was a balmy 54 degrees by my computer and although the current was ripping it made for quite a ride. Those that made it out to the barge, and were lucky enough to not miss the Monarch while riding the current, certainly thought it was a thrill. Hats off to the Social Committee for a 'job well done'. FYI - Mar has added a Live Aboard to our Dive Schedule for NOV 1 - NOV 7 with Blackbeards out of Freeport, Bahamas. If you missed the e-mail, check the SWODA website for details. Hey Ed - I was just down river from you folks at the Sydney Smith with an OW class. We had 54 degrees as well and the vis was in the 15' range. Apparently that was much better then both Friday and Saturday. Yes, the current on the drift is a wee bit higher this year (fun ride though).
