Alot of the newer regs have stationary LP ports, however Apex has Both And Scuba pro still has swivel turet.
My question is, Is there any advantage in one or the other?
and in the case of the Apex xtx 200 compared to the XTX50 is there any difference in performance?

Not comparing any Apex regs. I don't have any.
But I do have a swiffel turet, and I like it.
It gives me just a little bit more movement the my previous reg.(Mares MR22)
On my other reg. Oceanic d4/FDX10 no swiffel turet but a swiffel on the 2nd stage.
It also gives just a little more movement.

cheers,

I had both and the swivel was good for turning one way are the other to route hoses but I have a fixed now but it has angles to help with routing. Swivels on the 2nd stages are cool also. As for the Apex's I can't guess since I never messed with one more than a few minutes. Someone will answer you shortly, but my 2 cents I say nell but whatever I say I'm lying.

I don't think it makes much difference, unless your LP inflator hose is too long. Then a swivel can be uncomfortable because it pushes the primary 2nd hose port around. If you have the right length LP inflator hose, having a swivel turret is nice; it probably allows you a little more freedom of movement with the primary on a short hose.
