Ha'apai, Kingdom of Tonga is one of the only places in the world where you are allowed to snorkel with Humpback Whales. These gentle giants can measure over 15m long and weigh in at 50 tons. It's an awesome experience and footage like this reminds us all why these animals must be spared from the harpoon.

Check out this inspirational footage! Plenty fins and a whole lot of flukes. All the video was taken in the Ha'apai group of islands, with Pangai, on Lifuka island as the perfect base for this once in a life time experience.

If you want to snorkel with a Humpack make sure you only use a licensed operator for your own safety and for the whale's welfare.

Scuba Diving in Tonga, Ha'apai and Whale Watching/swimming in Tonga, Ha'apai with Fins 'n' Flukes on Lifuka Island are licensed to swim.
