Suunto Tranmitter

[font=바탕]It is a newbie question to Suunto computer. Is the transmitter for Vytec compatible with new D9? The new transmitter for D9 is over $350 so I am looking for some alternative options.[/font]

Yes, they use the same transmitter.

Yes they are the same transmitter. I have a Suunto Vytec, & am going to upgrade to the D9 for warm weather dives. They both are pretty close feature wise, but the D9 has a built in compass. The D9 is also the size of a large watch, were the Vytec is the size of a preassure guage. Anywayhope this helps

I would ask Suunto helpdesk juts to be on the safe side, maybe on the new models changes were done... that just me.

same transmitter..
if you are diving on one.. and your buddy is diving one..make shure u guys are not on the same frequency... becuase if you are than something fantastic could happening under water and nobuddy wants that..
