Hi buddies,
I'm just making sure that I set my stinger DC correctly, here is what I do:
1. go to PLAN mode
2. enter the planned depth
3. set the user display fields (AIR window)
4. Dive!
any comments, more than welcome.
the reason for this enquiry is that after I transfer the log to my PC the dive manager (ver2) shows the dives type as FREE dives and not as AIR; even though it is logged as Scuba dives not free dives on the DC, I don't know why, and I've just started using the dive manager software.
thanks.

As far as the air/free problem, I had the same thing with my Mosquito. The computer showed air dive but dive manager read as free. I emailed the techs at helpdesk@suuntosports.com and they gave me a software update to upload and solved the problem:14:

nope - PLAN is used for you to see how long at what depth you would be allowed to stay (like looking at the tables).

Check that your compluter is not actually set in GUAGE mode (FREE)

hit M until you get SET
then using "S" scroll through until you get AIR and make sure it is on [use the +/- keys] (or EAN and set to 21%) and set FREE OFF

you can download the user manual from the Suunto website...i think you can download the latest software from there as well (in case thats the issue)

that SW was for the computer or a PC application

The update was for the mosquito itself. The mosquito had to be set on DATA TRANSFER AND PC INTERFACE [TR-PC] with the dive manager interface link in place and then ran update on my pc that Suunto had sent.:14:

I've emailed the guys, let's see what they'll say !!
