Hi, I am planning on getting a Gekko but the only thing that is stopping me is its phosphorescent display. What is the phosphorescent display and how does it work in the dark? Does it glow by itself? Do I need to constantly shine my light on the gauge for the Gekko to light up? If someone could answer my question, I would appreciate it thanks.

You shine your light on it for a bit, then it will glow for a few minutes. So while you're diving, the next time you want to look at it you may need to use your light to charge it up again. The glow will be useful for an ascent, you will be able to keep reading it without using your light.
