Hi PPDers,

Sorry, realize this is not a dive question, but I figured some of you would have an answer.

A friend is looking for info on surfing in the Philippines. I've read about surfing on Siargao Island but would like some first hand info if any of you are surfers.

Cheers,
Drew

all i know is that surfing there generally rocks, but the area doesn't have 5 star accomods or things most westerners like

i guess it's very PG w/o Atlantis and El Gal... more a rustic sabang area...

other than that can't be much more help... sorry drew

Hi Jag,

Thanks. My friend has lived in China for 10 years and traveled in Laos and Bhutan so I think he can do rustic. He's also been to PG diving and liked that (one reason he wants to try the Philippines for surfing).

I googled up this place (http://www.cloud9surf.com/), which seems to be well located, I had actually heard of Cloud 9 before so it must be a well known break. I'll pass this along to him with a little caveat emptor.

Hi Caloy,

Thanks, I'll pass all this info along.
