Suggestions of where to do DMT?

I'm thinking of taking time off work to travel later this year. Would leave sometime between July and December 2009 and travel for a year. Ive done my Rescue and now want to do the DM.

Looking for suggestions for great places to do the DMT. Its most likely to be in South East Asia or Australia or the Pacific area as thats where I plan to go first! Looking for somewhere with a good turnover of divers and who wld take time to teach me. Somewhere also with a good social scene - probably a fairly sizeable operator. Ive dived some great dive operators such as Camel in Sharm and UDC in Honduras. These would be the sort of places that I'd do my DM but they're in the wrong part of the world!

Somewhere with a thruput of travellers and where I might get some real hands on DMT experience. Id like to ttake a couple of months to do it rather than rush it thru. Maybe in Thailand or Indonesia??

Sorry its a bit open ended question but any thoughts??!

I was just in Thailand on the island of Koh Tao in October of this year. This island is a scuba diver's paradise. As soon as you walk off the ferry, you're surrounded by dive shops and resorts. I was in heaven. Some people don't like it because it seems kind of touristy but I loved it.

The name of the place is Crystal Dive Resort where I took my courses (not DMT but some other ones) and they were fantastic! They were recognized by PADI in 2008 for their diver training. A huge bonus - if you do the DMT at their resort, you can dive for free there for the rest of your life!! I'm totally thinking of heading back there again. It was dirt cheap to stay, eat and dive. The DMT worked out to be about $1000 US (not sure what that is in pounds). If you want more info... let me know!
