I wanted something and knowone really wanted to help and one person told me it was impossible but I proved them wrong. I took the scubapro pull-to-dump system and Air 2 off my knighthawk and put it on my new oms 32lb wing.

I know lots a people hate the air 2's but I like my new one and it takes 1 more hose off my reg by eliminating the octo so I wanted it on the OMS wing. all I had to have was a few specialty tools (which I had to make 1 and buy 1) and some close attention to detail.

If anyone is crazy like me and wants to cut up a perfectly good $270 wing to adapt an air 2 than I would be glad to help.

why not just pop off the tie wrap holding on the inflator mechanism and then pop the air2 onto the end of the oms hose. the air 2 will fit any standard 3/4 inch hose.

Ditto.

I stuck my regular LP inflator from my Knighthawk on my DR wing because the one that came with it was cruddy.

Agreed. You'd need a special elbow to get the pull-dump, possibly, because some wings hav eit and some don't, but if yours doesn't, then just take the steel cable off of the inflator.....

Was there any reason that wouldn't work, that required you slashing into a wing like that? What are we missing?

I reckon the fact that he probably wants a pull dump on his corrugated hose. Looks like a perfect combo, while breathing the AIR2 to also pull the hose on an occasion for buoyancy control. :14:

Also, there's at least one more OPV missing, either on the upper or lower right side of the wing. I expect to see instructions for that procedure also, why not add those as well. :D

I did put the over pressure valves on the oms bladder as well. Yeah I wanted the pull to dump system as well as the air 2 so I needed to increase the diameter of the OPV holes by .125". The procedure was simple but did require specialized tools.

Besides looking tacky I dont like the standard inflator assemblys on all the wings out there so why not adapt the part I do like. I think I mayneed a longer hose now as the oms wing repositions the AIR 2 about 3 inches higher than I am used to. Dunno yet what I will do. I would dive it today to try things out but thunder storms make diving less than optimum.
