Just an informational post - I recently purchased a Sealife strobe to work with my Stylus 600 with my underwater housing. I had a fairly good experience with it, I had some trouble getting it to fire consistently at first. It has several settings to work with non-Sealife cameras and their preflash settings. I also had some pics that would get absolutely washed out because it was too bright - but it has an adjustment to tone it down which helped greatly. It also did not take too long to get ready for another flash (recharge?). Overall I think it is a great combo - I really didn't find many options when I wanted to add a strobe onto my little point'n'shoot. Just thought I'd throw this out in case someone has a Oly camera and decides to add a strobe.
I got some great pics by forcing my flash to fire all the time (unless I turned it off, which I did a few times underwater for a particular shot), and setting my ISO to 100. I have yet to try different ISO settings, I've really just been a point'n'shoot kinda photographer until recently.
Hope this helps someone!

If expereiencing too much washout you could add the diffuser to the strobe. This helps greatly, but especially so on night dives. It just softens the bright light.

Funny you should say that... when I rented the strobe (on the trip before I bought it) the LDS told me no one used them. I'll have to get one and try it! It sounded to me like a great idea but, in this case, just listened to experience.
Thanks bfisher!

I'm using mine with an Oly sp350 and oly PT-030 housing I have found out thatin mosy night shots it's better turn the intensity all the way down. One thing nice about digital is that you can always back out and look at what you got. Reset and take another pic.

I've also found that if underexposed you can lighten it up in photo-shop. If it's washed out not a whole lot you can do.

Hope this helps, but you will have to find out for yourself anyway.

Yes, it has been a trial and error adventure. And yes, I'm getting better at taking several shots, making adjustments between to find a good (or better) shot.
