Hi there! I'm new to this forum and couldn't find a similar post dealing with the same.
I have a canon a80 with the canon housing and have spent days on the internet researching the puzzling world of strobes.
Finally I'm ready to call defeat and thus looking for help/advice on what strobe kit to get.
- For now though I shoot in automatic i will begin trying more in manual
- i would like a broad range of possibilities (some macro, some WA)
- I would like the strobe to be bright
- looking for a good kit that is under $600 and is reliable.
I thought the Ikelite ds51 would be ideal until I spoke to someone else and they recommended the Sea & Sea YS-22 or YS-27dx. I guess the canon housing can only accomodate fiber optic cables, is that correct?
Thank you!
