I have a Olympus Stylus 600 and PT 029 housing and want to buy a strobe for it. I am fairly new to underwater photography and completely confused as to what stobes would work properly with this sysyem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think that the housing does not have the hotshoe (strobe fitting) so you must use 'slave ' strobes. they tave light sensors so with the flash of your camera, the slave strobe will be activated.. just search 'underwater slave strobe' on www

Fantasea Line has the new Nano strobe, guide number 12, that works well with small P&S cameras. It's not a Reef lighter, but for close-in fish portraits and macro it's great. Best of all, I'm selling it in a packages with tray, arms and optical slave sync cord starting at only $174 at: Optical Ocean Sales. I can sell you their other strobes, like the stronger Epoque as well. Email for quotes, I'll match mail order pricing and help you get the most out of your system.

You need a strobe that is fired via a fiber optic cable. WHEN you upgrade (not if) you will want the capability to fire with a sync cord. Do yourself a favor and get one now that does both. It will save you money in the long run. Any of the Inons, Ikelites or a Sea & Sea (YS60 or bigger) would be a good choice. These strobes will grow with you and eliminate the need to upgrade later.

You might want to look at the new Ikelite D-51, which packs a lot of performance into a fairly small package, and is not as pricey as the more commonly used D-125 (which I have:eyebrow: ) Check it out. Woody
