Adjustment all the way out (counter clockwise) to have as low a pressure on the seat as possible, the Venturi is just a rotating sleeve on the air barrel so storage posisition is not relevant.

This is the response from Deep 6 with the same question.
The venturi lever does not matter the position during storage just make sure it is set to -* prior to jumping in the water and then move it to + while diving this will prevent free flowing upon entry to the water. The adjustment knob is to customize the breathing effort during your dive. I would recommend the knob be stored in the clockwise position by one full term from the complete counterclockwise position during storage.

The best thing you can do is omit storage and continue diving year round. If the water is too cold, consider buying our Makara custom drysuit or our 7mm wetsuit. We also recommend proper training, including a drysuit course and possibly an ice diving course from a reputable instructor.

... What rvojr said is also acceptable, assuming no diving alternative exists.

Best,
Bill

The plan is to continue diving year round, but in a warm tropical locale. I continue to work towards the plan...
