April 1, 2007 Dive Report

Kicked off the new season with 8 divers and 3 crew.
Weather had predicted some rain and "fluffy" conditions.
We found about 2 foot seas and only an occasional drizzle from time to time.
Air temp was chilly most of the day, but the cabin heater was working fine.
The wreck of the day was the Rockland County.
The surface water temp was 44* , bottom temp was 41*
Surface vis was poor < 5 foot with a bit of current, bottom vis was ~20 foot and no current to speak of.
One very nice blackfish about 10 pounds and 2 average size lobsters were boated.
There were plenty of burgers, dogs and sausages and everyone seemed to have a good time.
This was a great way to kick off the new season, hope to see you all out on the boat for some great fun, food and friends.
