Anybody heard of this manufacturer? Local thrift store has a regulator for $5. I have no idea who the heck made it. Is it worth the price of a beer to find out?
 
Never heard of it. My guess is that you'd be buying a $5 paper weight, but maybe someone else has heard the name
 
can you take a picture of it at the thrift shop? the one picture i could google up showed a balanced piston first and adjustable downstream 2nd. similar to the old dive rite rg1200 2nd stage with an oceanic px2.
 
For five bucks it would have come home with me. I'd rather practice expanding my knowledge of regulator operation and service on one with little cost.
