Whats the best way to get a ton'a gear back and forth from Seaport Inn to Casino pt? Thats about a 1/4 mile I think. We could walk if we had a small folding cart or tank dolly? And would they allow that on the ferry? We'll have 2 ful sets of gear w/drysuits, 2 tanks, and 2 35lb weight belts. Is a taxi an affordable option?

Thanks,
Bill

Yes they allow the gear and your carts on the ferry, that is not a problem. Affordable taxi depends on what you consider affordable. I have not done that in a while but it will probably be around $20?? there is also a baggage service at the landing, you can give them your gear and they will drop it off at the dive park, ususally right by the flagpole. how soon that happens depends on how many other people are arriving with dive gear at the same time. good luck and enjoy your diving!!!

Seaport usually transfers both gear and divers to and from the dive park... a great extra!

webjr.... Seaport Village has always in the past included free transfers from the boat dock for you and gear. Then gear only to the point and back....trust me you will be glad on the way up the hill after diving all day...yes only a 1/4 mile but at a 45% grade up hill. LOL This is why the hotel is one of the more popular with divers....that and down stairs locker and more.
When are you making the trip? Someone here may just be there at the same time....and there is always a chance to meet "the Dr. Bill".:D

If you end up walking try using the Tank Trolley. It is easy to slip over the tank and can be taken off easy to store in your dive bag. I've traveled all over the world with mine since 2005. It will roll in the sand too with no problems! Its an essential piece of my dive gear now, Its always in my dive bag. when I rent a tank on vacation, the tank trolley goes on it.
I also attach my BC and gear to the tank and roll it. Lots of weight off the shoulders!
