Got into Rome a few nights ago and have seen most of the sights. Would like to do a quick dive this week, if possible. Anyone have options? Day trip maybe?

Two divers, only a couple of salt water dives, don't speak much Italian. Would have regs and comps, but need to rent other gear.

Gratzie!

Don't know a thing about diving around Rome, but if you haven't been to a little church named San Clemente, I would highly recommend it. Found a 4th century Christian church under the basement and then a Mithratic temple under the older church.

Lund,

When I stay in Sorrento or other Amalfi hotels, I try and save a day to dive in Naples (about two hours drive south of Rome).:crafty:

Centro Sub Campi Flegrei or Centro Sub Campi Flegrei

Centro Sub Campi Flegrei is the only dive operator allowed into the Baiae Marine Archeological Site. Everyone hears about Pompeii but few know about the Roman sites/villas that "SANK" into the bay during the Vesuvius eruption.

Enjoy your stay in a special part of the world...it is totally awesome there.

I also have heard of a Marine Park in the Rome area but I have not been there personally.

Ciao...
