They may not wish to answer but are they all fine physically and emotionally?
 
I hope so. And I hope they have happy thoughts relative to their experiences.
 
I think the fact that few of them have come into this forum to discuss the incident speaks well as to their emotional/psychological stability.

Did you attempt to swim for shore? I figure half way is about 6 miles from shore and about 6 hours away.
