Hello, Headed to Misool Eco Resort in 2 weeks and wondering about internet/cell coverage text messages with possible Starlink at Misool Eco Resort. Don't really want, more for peace of mind with a small business and ailing parents just need to be in the loop. Not that I can solve any problems from paradise just need to be able to sleep at night
So excited first time to RA!!!!!!

Do you have your own Starlink User Terminal mini-dish for travel? Or does Misool Eco Resort have their own Starlink UT for a service fee (or complimentary free-of-charge)?

I don't know if this helps you with your question but we were on a boat with starlink and it worked everywhere in Misool area.

I work product testing them, every night of the week-it’s nice to know this one really “works-in-the-field”. . .

I've used StarLink for the past several years in the Caribbean. Because the SL birds are in LEO, mid latitudes will always be well covered no matter the longitude. SL is now universally crosslinked and no longer dependent on a local downlink. Your portable uplink will serve you well.
Just for curiosity sake -- will you be using your mini uplink afloat, or only land based?

Misool Eco has starlink in the "Hive", but only in that area. It went down occasionally and they would reboot it, but fast and plenty of guests working or doing calls up there.. but it's welcome that the rest of the resort does not have access so you can be more purposeful in your online time!

We were on a boat in Misool in November. Starlink was available and worked quite well. It was sold by the gig, so the guy who forgot to go to low data mode (amazingly enough, not me) burned through his $40 worth in a day, but I used it sparingly and it lasted the duration.
