A most excellent report, in fact I don't think I've seen one better. This place will always be a possibility for me yet there are so many places to go. My wife really likes the larger fish and that keeps us busy in other parts of the world on our once a year venture to the depths of somewhere.

We had a great trip with Bill but if you are planning on going, you have to understand that you dive Bill's way. He can be quite a curmudgeon at times. One day he yelled at me for looking at MY copy of DeLoach/Humann which he thought was his copy and I hadn't asked to see it. It is for sure a unique experience.
Bill

That really made me laugh, and that is a perfect example of "Bill". There were a couple of newbies on the boat that Bill was unmerciful with. I was glad that I knew what to expect when I went down, so I knew I wasn't being singled out for abuse :-)

Very kind of you to say so. And yes, I understand why people sometimes save St Vincent for last (or nearly so). I'm very glad I visited, and I would go again, but only with a group of divers willing to dive more. Bill wasn't on the boat two of my five diving days, and so I only got in 6 dives with him. There is a lot more to see down there, I just hope Bill keeps diving until I can get back.

Dear Mike,

Loved the portrait of St. Vincent in your trip report. Your pictures are lovely too....

I'm the 'other' operator on the island, and I adore critter diving too, and will tailor diving to fit. (By the way I'm very happy to dive with one diver, and I don't charge for two!).

Here's a selection of my shots from the last 6 months or so. I shoot with a point and shoot, and don't get the opportunity to photograph as much as I would like. Hope that you'll pop in and say 'Hi' the next time that you are in St. Vincent.

Incredible report. Friends have just moved to St Vincent and I had been umming and aahing about whether to go over and visit, but after reading your report am absolutely sold. Thank you for taking the time to write it and also congrats on absolutely fantastic photos! :D

Thanks so much for your trip report, which I read entirely. Very useful. I think we'll stay at Mariners. A friend and I are diving with Bill in January 2011. He was recommended by people we dove with 2 summers ago.

You have a talent for both photography and writing. Thanks for the great pics and well written report.
