I am thinking about bringing my boat down there, however ive been told you cant dive off of your own boat unless you have an STL national dive master with you. :dontknow:

Hopefully this wont be the case.

Who do you recommend down there?

Doesn't have to be a St. Lucian national, but they must possess a St. Lucian DM license. My old DM at the Rendezvous was a woman named Mary Mathurin, and I certified my boat driver, Boy Blue while I was there. Both live in Castries, and I would think either one wouldn't be hard to find. It isn't that big an island. See Andre at Dive Fair Helen in the harbor in Castries.I was the proud holder of a St. Lucia DM license at one time myself. All I had to show was my work visa and DM card to get one.

Here is a sample of diving the west side. Most footage is from Anse Cochan. Bay in front of Tikaye.

I just re-read your post. Is that the same Mary that ended up with Island Divers for awhile? If so, for those reading, I would dive with her any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Mary is great. I know at this point she is no longer with Island Divers, but I would find her if I wanted a private DM with me.

If I couldn't find her, try to get Lester with Island Divers on his off day. Another great one.
