I am planning a quick trip to St John in February and would love to dive with the Cunningham's. I have read great reviews about their operation, but have not been able to get on their website. Does anyone know if they are still in operation? Does anyone have any thoughts on sixpacq as an operator?

Thanks
Bill

I have to tell you that diving with the crew from the Westin in St. John was a great experience. Great boat and never saw the same place all week. Great operation and very organized, highly recommended. They cater to the people that are diving multiple days so that you won't see the same reefs over and over. St. John is my favorite place, been there many times let me know if you need anything else. Jim.

Jim,

Thanks for the reply. I tried yesterday but my computer locked up. I did my discover dive with LowKey in 2005, and have dove with them numerous times since becoming certified. They limit your bottom time, and I can understand that from a business perspective. Have you ever done a night dive there? I have done the drift dive off Honeymoon Beach, and that would be great at night.

Bill

My wife and I used the op at the Westin as well had a good time. Can't help with the other op. One thing to ask about is shore diving. We rented a boat one year and a jeep the next to snorkel all around the island. It would be very cool to shore dive / jeep dive. I don't recall ever seeing any one do this. Make sure you and your buddy have the skills to do this because you might be the only two around. Everything off the beach was shallow (20-40ft) if I recall. Good luck! :D

There is a book called "Living Art" by Steve Simonsen, which he spends 1 1/2 years snorkeling the entire island. His photos are outstanding, and it makes a nice coffee table book. I have done a shore dive at Gallows Point and enjoyed it, especially because I'm familiar with that area from my prediving days. St John is a great place.

We dived with Bill & Cindy from Down Under Watersports back in 2007. They were top notch.

We're going back in a couple months, but can't seem to find ANYTHING about them.

Have they gotten out of the dive op business? I would appreciate any contact info.

I wish I could help you. I tried to call and leave a message and also through email. I received a form from Earthlink to fill out, and after my email address was validated they would reply. On one occasion I received an email apologizing for the inconvenience, but never heard back, so that was my last attempt. I have contacted 6PAQ Scuba and will be diving with them starting Feb 20th. All my contacts with 6PAQ Scuba to this point have been positive. Contact me at the end of the month and I'll let you know how I made out.

Thanks, FL. Yes, I went through the same thing (voicemail, then email resulting in Earthlink confirmation but no reply to my original message). I'm afraid it appears as if Bill & Cindy are out of the diving business ... :(

Let me now about 6PAQ. I read some good things too, but would prefer a recent experience. Thanks again.
