Hello All,

I have PADI open water cert and my girlfriend is an SSI cert. We are looking to do the Advanced Open Water class soon? Question, can she take the PADI classes if she is SSI or will they make her take the PADI open water cert class all over again?

Thanks for the feedback.

Justin

My LDS said that if you take in your SSI card they will transfer it to Padi Open water then you can take the PADI Advanced. I belive this is the way it is in most LDS, So check with them to be sure.

Yes, I have SSI OW and PADI AOW.

You can take the PADI AOW class together. Just keep your gear away from hers. If the relationship goes long-term, be sure to get a pre-nupt.

I should have thought of something like that before buying my girlfriends' gear for her.

Thanks for the responses. We will be signing up for the first class this spring.
