Can I use a backplate with my zeagle tech? I dive double, banded steel 98's?

You can add a backplate to the Tech, but it is not really 100% necessary. In order to do so, you will probably have to remove the small lumbar pad.
A much more inexpensive way to dive doubles with a Ranger or Tech style BC can be found here:

Thanks Scott, I think I may need to just go to a different setup. I have dove my doubles twice with my tech and no back plate and they actually seem quite stable. My problem is that I can not reach my manifold valve??? I tried on a harness/plate /wing system and could reach it with no problem. I bought the tech simply for the doubles capability and have had it less than a month,I just got my doubles and now find myselfin kind of a tough spot ....
