I remember on a night dive when I shone my torch on a cuttlefish nestled in a rock crevice.

Rattled me realising it was a intelligent sentient being, clearly as annoyed at being disturbed as I would be if someone shone a powerful light through my bedroom window!!

Maybe they are the cat equivalent of the underwater world.
 
And they are canabalistic, so there’s a nice mark in the + column.

My tabby, Gracie, relates that she finds them fairly bright.
 
They are talking number of neurons. Question is what are they used for. For dolphins and whales for example a big chunk is devoted to processing sonar. Squid for the cameo they can do. Dogs has more developed to sense of smell then we do. Intelligence as we usually think of it is different than just brain size.
