Hi everyone
I'm currently on the hunt for steel sidemount tanks to dive sidemount in Switzerland. It seems impossible to find second hand and even new ones are quite hard to find. Thats why I thought about buying doubles and just splitting them. As far as I understand I would only need a blockoff for the the part where the bridge goes. Is that correct? Something else I should consider when splitting doubles?
I guess this topic has already been discussed but I couldn't find it scrolling through and the search function is currently disabled so I couldn't relly search for it.

Indeed there is not much to it. Be careful to keep the tanks parallel while removing the manifold so as to not damage it. Obviously, empty the tanks beforehand... Note that the blind plugs come as a left/right pair since one side has a left hand thread.

Works fine. I did it years ago to my PST 100s. And then you can sell the manifold/isolator!
