In the late 70's when I was learning to dive in Germany, I purchased new a Spirotechnique 40/30 (din). Who could tell me what would be the equivelent Aqualung/U.S. Divers reg? I still have the reg and am wanting to have it serviced for use again. Does this reg have any significant collector's value? It's in very good condition.

Could you post some pictures?

I don’t know much about the Spirotechnique single hose regulators, but their double hose are valued by collectors and vintage equipment divers. I am assuming you have a single hose, but I am not familiar with the model numbers.

Even a single hose Spirotechnique is probably considered a collectors item since they are not very common, at least around here.

I have a Spirotechnique horse collar BC (similar to a Fenzy) and it does have some collectors value.

You should also post pictures at VintagDoubleHose.com and VintageScubaSupply.com. you will probably find others that can tell you more about it.

Thanks. I'll work on getting the pictures posted.

Hello Oldschool,

One of my favorite sites is posted below. You might try to find info on your regulator there. Check under "L" for "La Spirotechnique"

Happy hunting,
