I'm researching options for a liveaboard for a 4 night trip to the GBR and the Coral Sea. Spirit of Freedom and Mike Ball both seem to be excellent choices. I would appreciate any review and comparison of them and any other suggestions. I will be going in April.

Thanks.

i haven't dived with Mike Ball, but I can thoroughly recommend Spirit of Freedom, been there in January. Good rooms, service, photo friendly. The Spirit gets an upgrade every year, maintenance wise. I think Mike Ball has an older vessel, but I haven't been on it personally.

The diving pretty much depends on the weather no matter which boat you take, self explanatory really :) They all go to more or less the same places. (Spirit Of Freedom, Mike Ball and Taka).
