Hello,

I'm booking a 7-day cruise on the SOF for July and am wondering about people's opinions about the different staterooms.

Are the top-side "ocean view" rooms worth the extra cash? How are the top-side staterooms in rough seas?

How about the below-deck staterooms? In rough seas?

Thank you

Rough seas, what rough seas. This is Queensland "beutifull one day, perfect the next". Or so I'v heard.

Apparently the ocean view ones are worse if you suffer seaskickness. I've been on the SOF a couple of times and find that on the passage out to osprey most do suffer. First time i was ever seasick.
I also find that people spend little time in their rooms. I am usually on a budget and do the quadshare - the bed is just to sleep in. The boat has plenty of nice areas to relax in.

That's what I thought, I was looking for confirmation.

The smallest boat on which I've done a cruise was 1,200 feet long and it had nuclear weapons.:D I've had little desire to get back on a boat for a cruise until now.

Bit late, but I would second what MA says. the oceanview rooms up top are not where you want to be in rough seas! Save your money for some other treat! You'll have a great time
