Spearfishing in Connecticut, looking for buddy

I'm new in CT. I love spearfishing, and I looking to buddy.
Is there a spearfishing community in CT?
Do you know where it's possible to hunt? How is the viz?

HI my name's DJ just started spearfishing a week ago, went with my friend to RI and we had a blast but i was wondering the same thing, is there any good CT spots?
I tried off Hammonassett during break while lifeguarding but i couldnt see more than a foot in front of me.
Let me know if you know any spots
I'd be more than happy to meet up and go sometime too.
