I have a JBL/38 Special and Riffe spearguns. To this point I carry the guns in my hands while hunting/diving. Do any of you use a sling or a strap to tote your guns and have your hands free?

I have a JBL Sawed-off Woody Magnum with a wrist lanyard tied off on the finger guard.
I only use it when I need both hands (like helping to put someone's tank back on) or when ascending the anchor line.
After I shoot a fish, I just let the gun float until the fish is strung.

We use dog-snaps on the butt of the gun to clip it off to a waist D-ring.Also on stringer ,tickle stick and lobster bag as needed.Swimming with a gun anywhere other than your hands is probly not a good idea.We only clip them off to ascend,descend ,put fish on the stringer etc....Perhaps I'd consider slinging an un-loaded gun.
