Hello!

This is my first post; thank you for this amazing site!!

I am leaving tomorrow for a six week backpack trip in Spain and Portugal. I defenetly want to scuba a few times there. I heard of the Mede Islands that is supposed to be one of the best places to scuba around, and i also heard about Cartagena with its underwater natural park.

The problem with the Medes is that i fear that it is going to be very expensive to get there (for a student like me). And since i am plannig to go around Spain and Portugal with my train pass, i can go to any coast around (4!).

thank you very much

Jérôme

Mainland spain the islands are probably the best bet.

If the budget can carry it, the balearics have good diving. Majorca and Ibiza (formentera) in particular.
