However given that SP will upgrade it for free whether you are the original owner or not, that is not likely to happen much.

What is more likely is that an "un updated" but late production Mk 20 will already have it installed as the universal yoke retainer entered service during the later stages of MK 20 production and was not unique to the Mk 25.

Given that the problem would be caused by over tightening the yoke nut, would it be logical to assume that you're safe as long as the body didn't crack at the moment you tightened it? It doesn't seem likely that it would just crack during a dive a week or a month after servicing....at least in tropical water temperatures. Or am I missing something here?
