Hi,
I wrote a detailed article about the amazing diving off South West Rocks (NSW, Australia). This little town is located halfway between Brisbane and Sydney (5 hours drive from each), so if you're road-tripping Australia's East Coast, I'd seriously consider spending a few days there.
South West Rocks is where you stay for diving Fish Rock Island and the lesser known (much underrated) Green island.
