For my OLY PT105 housing . . ????

Use to have a web connection to a souce but for some reason . . I just can not find it . . GRUNT . . any help would be greatly appreciated !! :D

Are you talking about silicon Gel packs?
PM me .. next time I'm in my local MEC I'll grab you a bunch and post them to you.
If you have some already they can be recharged by sticking them somewhere hot and dry for a while.

if you are talking about something else just ignore me

www.thepreservationstation.com has some 2 gram packets with color indicators that are small enough to fit in my PT016. Perhaps they will work in your housing.

Meanwhile, just take your old moisture packs and put them in the microwave. I find that three or four 20 second bursts at full power with a minute or two between to let them cool off will recharge the moisture packs. Hit them too hard and the cover (tyvek?) gets creases and wrinkles.

Thanks one and all !! Have passed the info on to my friend for her new system. I still have plenty from my first order a few years ago . . :o)

I have been looking at the dessicant packs that come in various pharmaceutical bottles. As long as the pack comes from a bottle that has capsules it should be dust free and work just fine. The pharmacist should be able to supply some for free.

As soon as the water warms up I will post my experiences with these freebies.

I used The Preservation Station, too - VERY cost effective - one order of 50 and you're pretty much set for life. :D They're great, very quick on their orders and work beautifully. I've always recharged mine in my toaster oven at 200 degrees for an hour or so, but I'll try the microwave method next :).

The thing I like best about these versus anything else is the indicator strip - you *know* on these whether they're going to work or not because of the color indicator strip :)
