I know this is somewhat last minute, however,

On March 9, 2004

Robert Grenier
Chief of Marine Archaeology for Parks Canada
will be doing a presentation
Forty Years Under the Sea

For further information:

Check out http://ottawa.saveontarioshipwrecks.on.ca/index.php?id=98

Please remember to RSVP for the presentation. Please email rsvp@pinetree.org or call 613-836-5157. This is so they can track room occupancy.

This is a free presentation, but SOS will ask for a donation at the door to help fund their work. Please keep this in mind when tieing up to one of thier mooring buoys or reading the wreck information plaques in the St. Lawrence.

See you there.

Well this show was pretty interesting but i was hoping on hearing about some of the local wrecks.. Thanks for posting this kevin

Robert Grenier gave an excellent presentation last night. Even as an active SOS member, I did not realize the influence Canada has in worldwide underwater archaeology. The presentaton included both slides and powerpoint to show the differences in technology and procedures over the last 40 years. If anyone has a future opprotunity to hear Mr. Grenier speak, I suggest you grab it.
