Sorong Accomodation recommendation

Hi All,

As I would be going to raja ampat for some diving later this year, I am currently looking at accomodations.
Does anyone have any to recommend?

Not looking for fancy 5 star hotels but just some basic accomodation, with eating places nearby.

Yes, the Meridian is a good place for a night of layover but Tauge, are you looking for a diving base or layover base? For diving, you have to head to the dive resorts or live-abords.

Good question Zippsy!
If you're only looking for a one night layover, I'd recommend Royal Mamberamo hotel, which is almost downtown, close to restaurants, to the harbor and to local art stalls... and btw, Royal Mamberamo's restaurant is simply one of the best indonesian restaurant where I've eaten.

it will be just a layover base. I'd be doing a LOB for raja amapt.
I have tried emailing royal mamberamo but no reply since a month ago. maybe i'll try again.
