Input needed...bought a fresh keg of 797 Sofnolime. Stuck it in my office. I left town for a couple of days for work, wife thought it was cluttering the place and decided (non-diver!) to stick it in an attic crawlspace, where it sat for the two (likely) hottest days of the year, it easily topped 100 F in there for much of that time. She told me about it and I exfiltrated it, crawlspace hot, keg warm to the touch. I am aware of the temperature protocols for storage of sorb (which is why I put it in an AC area of the house). The question is, do I need to bin an unopened keg because of this?

I would not worry about it personally. I keep unopened kegs in the house but my opened one (in use keg) sits in my garage. It gets well over 100 degrees in there during the summer when the doors are shut. I worry more about it freezing than getting hot.

I would use it. My sorb sits for months at a time in the garage here in AZ. It was delivered via truck on a pallet, and the trailer was not climate controlled. There is nothing thermally unstable about sorb. The container would be damaged before the sorb itself. And those plastic kegs can take a lot.

When moving from VA to FL - we had a long period of not being able to unpack everything (most stuff was in POD containers). I had packed all the sorb into double zip lock bags and put in the behind the seat storage in my pickup truck cab (that sat outside during the day/night). Was there for about 6months. It was fine - or I should say - I was fine after using it.
