Hello, my name is Drew and I live in Norfolk and am getting my OW in Virginia Beach next month. I work with Norfolk PD and plan on getting on the harbor patrol to do some search and rescue. Yes, the department will pay for my cert but I thought it would be a great experience to do this with my wife who also has a dream of diving. Just wanted to say hi and if anyone lives in the hampton roads area and may want some dive buddies don't be shy to send me a pm. And yes I'm a :dork2:

Hi Drew, welcome. I'm new here as well. I live in Virginia Beach. I suppose you chose either Lynnhaven Dive Center or Divemasters for OW cert.

Hey guys, Im new here today, just signed up today. I've been diving in the hampton roads/mid atlantic area for a couple of years and am always looking to meet new friends that like to dive. Lake Rawlings is okay, and if you have some extra cash, you can take a charter with LDC. Costs between $60-$100 per person. Anyone own a boat large enough to go out? It would be cheaper, even if we all put some towards fuel. Thoughts?

Hey there jschless81, scribble me in on your list. Now I don't own a boat but I'd be happy to chip in on the fuel.

I would chip in on fuel once I get my cert. I'm getting my cert with LDC by the end on Aug.

Hey Drew,
This is Jason From NC, also new to diving and going on my first open water wreck dive next weekend. If you are ever down this way there is really good wreck diving here and feel free to give me a yell! Good luck on your training!

welcome aboard
