On another scuba related dive board, many of the members participate in a Secret Santa gift exchange every year, which was organized by one of the long time members. It's been alot of fun and this year was extra special.
My Secret Santa knew of my desire to adorn the walls of my office with fellow divers photography. While I was away on my trip, she solicited all of the board members she knew of that were photographers and asked them if they would send their favorite UW photo to me. The response was overwhelming, and everyday I was receiving phone calls from my mother (everything was shipped to my mothers address in TX) telling me that ANOTHER picture had arrived. I received 23 photos in all (including 4 from Diveborg)!
One of my good friends and customers graciously brought down one batch of the unframed photos, and our own Diveborg on this board was also one of the very generous photo donors...his was hand delivered! Along withthe photos, Diveborg also hand delivered Starbuck's coffee and Crystal lite dink mix...as well as a secret clue as to who my Secret Santa was...he helped make it very fun! THANK YOU again Bruce!
However, it wasn't until I went home last week for my belated Christmas celebration with my family that I got to see the rest. I was able to bring about 1/2 of them back and found frames for them all at Target (my favorite place) for $5 with the matting and glass!
So, since we couldn't go diving the other day due to a very strong norte...Mago and I spent the day at the office hanging all the photos I have at this point. You'll see we left space for the rest of them that I will bring back on my next trip!
This was one of the most thoughtful and amazing gifts I have ever received and I was incredibly touched. So, below are some pictures of is now affectionately known as "The D2D Shrine."
I need to print a small picture to put in the empty frame
That empty space on the wall is where the rest will go when I get them to Coz!
